Location: Islamic Learning Center of New York City (ILC-NYC)
At the Islamic Learning Center of New York City (ILC-NYC), we believe in nurturing the hearts and minds of our youth through meaningful Islamic education and community engagement. Established in 2018, our weekend school serves students ages 5–17 across the NYC area. Our mission is to inspire a deep consciousness of Allah (SWT) and empower students to become confident, responsible Muslim citizens guided by the Qur'an, the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and a love for Islam as a way of life.
About the Role
We are currently seeking passionate and organized Sunday School teachers to join our dynamic team. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children and a strong understanding of Islamic principles. You will be responsible for implementing our age-appropriate curriculum focused on Islamic Studies, Qur’an, and basic Arabic.
Key Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience (formal or informal)
Familiarity with Islamic Studies and Qur’anic content
Ability to teach Arabic letters and foundational reading concepts (fluency not required)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
